The DCO Network

The Core of our Organisation is a unique global network of more than 500 certified Doping Control Officers (DCOs) in more than 100 countries

The DCOs are spread out according to our clients’ needs. They are located close enough to athletes to be able to test them unannounced at any time during training periods. Working with local DCOs enable us to conduct a mission at short notice and without added travel costs.

A DCO plays a vital role during the doping control and sample collection. It is of high importance the systematic recruitment and training of the DCOs in order to secure a good and consistent quality in operations. The DCOs must be familiar with the different procedures of each sports organisation, and between In-Competition and Out-of-Competition tests. Although the new WADA code creates a unified testing system for sports associations, specific rules still exist.
